The role
Reporting to the General Manager, Operations and being a member of the National Leadership Team, this role is crucial in advancing Modern Methods of Construction (MMC) in our projects.
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Modern Methods of Construction Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will lead and oversee the implementation of innovative construction methods by integrating modern practices such as digital technologies, modularisation, and prefabrication across the regions. This role focuses on improving construction efficiencies, quality, and sustainability by integrating innovative construction techniques and technologies in line with international best practices.

Key responsibilities:
- Develop strategies for the adoption and integration of MMC practices, ensuring alignment with the company's overall strategic goals and sustainability objectives
- Work with the key supply chain/manufacturers to look for innovative solutions that give Naylor Love a competitive edge
- Collaborate with our project teams and planners to imbed MMC solutions into our schedules and monitor these time advantages to ensure real improvement
- Ability to collaborate and drive innovative change into the business and the project teams
- Collaborate with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure best practices around MMC are considered and embedded into our projects
- Work in close collaboration with project teams, fostering a cohesive and integrated approach to project delivery
- Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies specific to MMC
- Stay updated on the latest construction technologies and industry trends, continuously seeking ways to incorporate advancements in MMC
- Promote and educate the team and stakeholders on the benefits and applications of MMC
- Lead the development of a logistics strategy that addresses both onsite construction needs and potential offsite logistics through prefabrication, modular construction, or other off-site construction options
- Implement MMC process improvements to achieve operational excellence and enhance efficiency, contributing to the organisation's success and bottom line
- Develop key performance indicators to measure the success of MMC initiatives
- Practice positive leadership, model core values, promote ethical behaviour, and have a personal style that promotes a culture of inclusiveness and teamwork
- Provide continued educational programmes and mentor and support appropriate staff to build internal expertise in MMC
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, Civil Engineering, or a related field
- Strong knowledge of BIM, modular construction, and off-site manufacturing techniques
- Experience and mana to command respect from clients and staff as a construction industry specialist
- Familiarity with construction management software and advanced technologies
- Proficient in budgeting and cost estimation
- Highly developed leadership, communication (both written and verbal), and interpersonal skills, including influencing with the ability to motivate and engage individuals
- Excellent strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Outstanding communication and people skills with the ability to inspire and lead diverse teams
- Ability to think laterally and creatively to develop innovative plans and identify business improvement opportunities
