The opportunity
We have a great opportunity for a Health and Safety Advisor to further support our Auckland site teams and the Auckland Region as a whole. We are looking for a driven person who wants to contribute to a positive health and safety culture. This role is largely site based, providing support and advising the team, assisting site management and maintaining a close relationship with the client. It is essential to have a background and relevant experience in high-risk environments and/or projects.
Ideally, you will have at least three years' health and safety advisory or supervisory experience in the construction sector or similar dynamic industry where each day can bring different challenges. Fundamental to the role will be your ability to work with and within our staff and sub-contractor teams, understand our business and provide a practical and solutions focused approach to our drive for constant improvement.
Reporting to our Regional Health & Safety Manager, you will assist our site teams and regional team with both project and resource needs. This will require a highly organised person with strong communication skills, both written and verbal and the ability to apply these both to projects and to tender submissions. If you have proven success with training and mentoring, presentations, critical risk work, incident investigations, audits and all things safety, this is a role for you.
A tertiary (level 4 or above) or professional qualification would be an advantage, but more important is an understanding of relevant Health & Safety legislation and its application.

We will help you take charge of your career by giving you growth opportunities along the way. We can promise you a challenging career in a positive team working environment.
In addition to a competitive salary, you will have access to a wide range of other benefits including the following:

Access to purchase additional leave
Access to children's scholarships to support your Tamariki undertaking construction related study
