The opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity for a Health and Safety Advisor to further support our Nelson project teams. We are looking for a driven individual who is passionate about building relationships and partnering with our leadership team to drive a positive culture of safety. This role will report to the Nelson Branch Manager along with the Christchurch Regional Health and Safety Manager.
- Minimum of two years Health and Safety advisory experience or supervisory experience in construction (Foreperson, Site Manager)
- Strong understanding of relevant Health and Safety legislation and its application
- People focused with strong influencing and coaching skills
- Practical, solutions-focused approach to operational safety
- Highly organized with strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- Detail oriented with excellent systems knowledge
- Tertiary or professional qualification preferred but not essential (NEBOSH)
