The opportunity

We are seeking a trade qualified and motivated Leading Hand with site experience looking to develop their career to join our Dunedin team.

You will be a well-rounded, competent carpenter with the ability to spot problems and resolve them in an as efficient manner as possible. Your role will include supervision and coordination of site personnel and sub-contractors when required by the site leads i.e., Foreperson, Site Manager, etc. As a person, you will work well within a team and have a supportive leadership style.

You will ensure that health and safety procedures are never compromised, and the company's procedures are adhered to. You will have a willingness to tackle new challenges and expand your skills along the way.

To be successful in this position you will possess the following:

• Carpentry experience
• Qualified builder or carpenter looking for development with Naylor Love
• Ability to read plans
• Previous experience in managing labour and junior trades
• Strong commitment to Health and Safety
• Have an understanding of how to navigate IT systems and processes
• Be a champion in health and safety
• Effective time management skills including the ability to prioritise work and meet deadlines
